Shaheen Limbada, Managing Director

With over 12 years in the pharmaceutical industry Shaheen Limbada brings extensive experience in organizational development and execution, patient recruitment and retention, clinical study conduct and governance, and drug safety monitoring.

Most recently Mr. Limbada was the Head of Clinical Operations – North America for LEO Pharma, responsible for all clinical trials conducted across the continent. Formerly he was the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Cetero Research – Toronto, where he managed strategic operations while overseeing the execution of all clinical studies. In addition he successfully built a North American Clinical Trial Division.

Prior to joining Cetero in 2007 Mr. Limbada held management positions in clinical operations and project management for AstraZeneca Canada.

As Managing Director of Topstone Research Mr. Limbada is responsible for the overall conduct and governance of all Trial Management processes, playing a hands-on role in the planning and execution of functional services. In addition he manages the day-to-day affairs and the strategic direction of all three divisions, including financial and operational matters.

 

 

Deepen Patel, M.D., Managing Medical Director

Dr. Deepen Patel has over 21 years of experience as a family physician and clinical researcher bringing extensive knowledge in these fields and in general corporate administration. With numerous publications related to this work, he is one of the most renowned clinical researchers in North America and a world leader in allergy research particularly in Environmental Exposure Chamber type studies.

As Senior Medical Director at Cetero Research – Toronto, Dr. Patel was responsible for overseeing its clinical studies and advising on issues related to internal operations and sponsors. Acting as Medical Monitor, he assisted in the management of multicentre trials. With more than 16 years of experience he brings knowledge as an investigator for over 650 projects.

Prior to joining Cetero Research as a fulltime medical director, Dr. Patel played an integral role at Allied Research International for 13 years. During that time he also practiced as a part-time family physician in the area of in-hospital and emergency department patient care.

As the Managing Medical Director at Topstone Research, Dr. Patel is responsible for the medical staff and the medical affairs of all divisions. He is the Principal Investigator, Medical Monitor and chief medical advisor on all Topstone Research activities.

 

 

Dunya Botetzayas R.N., Managing Director, Investigator Site Services

Ms. Botetzayas has 18 years of experience in healthcare as a registered nurse and clinical research professional. Having begun her practice as a Clinical Research Coordinator, she progressed to her most recent role as Director of Clinical Operations at Cetero Research. Her specialty is in the area of allergy, asthma, immunology, dermatology and gastrointestinal therapies.

Prior to joining Cetero in 2008 Ms. Botetzayas held a management position with Allied Research International for 14 years. As the Manager of Clinical Operations, she handled the day-to-day operations of the clinical trial facility including staffing and general administration.

As the Managing Director of Clinical Trials and Medical Services at Topstone Research, Ms. Botetzayas oversees multiple trials covering a diverse range of therapeutic areas in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) regulatory requirements. Such roles include the line management of all operational teams within clinical operations such as subject recruitment, subject screening, resource staff and the laboratory.
